Whitening and Bleaching

Whitening
Over time our teeth tend to become discolored or stained. Whether this is from smoking, coffee, or any other foods, a beautiful smile could be closer than you think. Whitening your teeth is a very simple procedure that can be completed in a relatively short period of time.

Two Options for Whitening

At-Home
The first step in the process, no matter which option you choose, is impressions. We will take full impressions of your upper and lower teeth. These impressions will be used to make custom trays.

Take-Home Kit: Custom trays, 8 tubes of whitening solution.

You will wear these trays with whitening solution for several hours a day. You will see a difference within the first few days. To get the full benefit, you will wear the trays for 2 weeks. Your smile will look brighter and more youthfull.

In-Office
The first step is to isolate the teeth and protect the gums and lips. When this has been accomplished, the whitening gel is placed on the teeth. The gel is activated by a specially designed light that is directed at the teeth. The entire procedure takes just over an hour. The results are usually between 6 and 10 shades whiter. The custom trays are used to further whiten if you desire and to maintain your new smile.

Whitening only works on natural teeth and may not be effective in all cases. We will inform you as to the potential whitening for your specific situation.

Procedure Time
For in-office whitening, please allow 1.5 hours for treatment.
